France Sponsored Walk


With our France International Camp just two months away, the excitement was evident for some of our members as they took to the hills of Rossendale with their families raising money to support their trip. The hike started with a steep climb up towards Cowpe Lowe where everyone was able to take in the magnificent views across the Valley. With the hard work over there was a pleasant level phase before negotiating the gravel path downhill towards Waterfoot and then a bridleway back towards the Group headquarters. The route of 4.5-miles was completed in around 2.5-hours with only a small amount of rain falling but that did not dampen everyone’s spirits.
